Skeleton Drive is the moniker of Dillon Rae Oliver’s musical and artistic endeavors. Starting in their Kent, OH apartment in 2018, Skeleton Drive began as a project focused or first learning guitar and songwriting through self-teaching with the debut EP, ‘Crepuscular”. Expanding on the themes of Crepuscular and the DIY ethos of attempting to break into the local scene saw the 2020 follow-up EP, “Rest Land”.
Forced into being laid off from gigging and traveling, Skeleton Drive entered an uncertain hiatus during the COVID-19 pandemic, the silver lining of which was having time to let their songwriting and home-recording skills ripen and improve. Slowly returning to the gigging scene in late 2021, they entered 2022 with their best material to date, the short 4-track dark, acoustic, lo-fi EP, “four thirty-blue”, featuring their biggest hit yet, the ooey-gooey unrequited love song, “Get Close”
Now, after their debut tour over the Midwest, Skeleton Drive is striving to continue to branch out with more touring planned for the near future, along with cautiously working on their first full-length record.
